How do I enlarge a door frame’s sheet metal hole/opening?
I need to install a deadbolt lock onto a bedroom closet door. I need to make the hole/opening of the door frame larger so that when the key is turned to the lock position, the actual bolt can insert itself into the opening on the door frame area. The door frame area is made of what appears to be sheet metal. The bolt of the deadbolt lock is slightly thicker than the hole/opening on the door frame. Please advise any tools or suggestions. Thank you.
There is a reaming tool that you can purchase for your electric drill that will do the trick. Be careful when you use it that it does not ‘grab’ the frame. But if you are careful it is easy to use.

The medieval crossbow was called by many names, most of which derived from the word ballista, a torsion engine resembling a crossbow in appearance. Historically, crossbows played a significant role in the warfare of East Asia, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Today, they are used primarily for target shooting and hunting. The earliest designs featured a slot in the stock, down into which the cocked string was placed. This rod is usually attached perpendicular to a rear-facing firing lever called a trigger or ‘tickler’. Excerpt: Anathema Anathema are an English band from the city of Liverpool , which, together with Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride , helped to develop the death/doom and gothic metal sound, a subgenre of doom metal . However, their album Eternity was a departure from their death/doom into more melodic sound and signaled their transition to atmospheric rock. History Anathema formed in 1990 as a doom metal band, initially under the name ‘Pagan Angel’. In November of that year, the band recorded their first demo, entitled An Iliad of Woes . This demo caught the attention of several bands from the English metal scene, allowing Anathema to play gigs with bands like Bolt Thrower and Paradise Lost . At the beginning of 1991, the band adopted its current name, and gained a lot of attention with the release of their second demo entitled All Faith Is Lost , resulting in a four-album deal with Peaceville Records . Their first release under the label was The Crestfallen EP in November 1992. They took the material from that album on the road, touring with Cannibal Corpse . He floats outside of it, sniping and sneering at it, but he’s not part of it — he’s too in love with rock & roll to belong to a decade that’s seeing the music’s slow decline. You could say that Queens of the Stone Age keep rock’s flame burning, but unlike other new-millennium true believers — like Jack White, for instance — Homme lacks pop skills or even the interest in crossing over (which isn’t the same thing as lacking hooks, mind you), and unlike the stoner metal underground that provided his training ground, he’s not insular; he thrives on grand visions and grander sound. He’s an anomaly, a keeper of the flame that will never be played on Little Steven’s Rock & Roll Underground because Queens of the Stone Age are too heavy, too muso, too tasteless in all the wrong ways to be commonly accepted or embraced as among the next generation of rock heroes — which only makes them more rock & roll, of course. And if rock & roll is indeed in decline in the 2000s, Homme and his Queens of the Stone Age prove that rock & roll can nevertheless be just as potent as it ever was with each of their remarkable albums. All are instantly identifiable as QOTSA but all are quite different from each other, from the sleazoid freak-out of R to the dark, gothic undertow of Lullabies to Paralyze, a record so willfully murky that it alienated a good portion of an audience ready to bolt in the wake of the departure of Homme’s longtime partner, Nick Oliveri. Replacing him on vocals was the relatively unknown Jimmie Strimell. When Gus G. was performing with Arch Enemy at Ozzfest 2005, he was replaced by Pierre Lysell for Nightrage’s touring activities. Excerpt: The Thompson is an American submachine gun, invented by John T. Thompson in 1919 that became infamous during the Prohibition era. It was a common sight of the time, being used by both law enforcement officers and criminals. The Thompson was also known informally as: the “Tommy Gun,” the “Trench Broom,” the “Trench Sweeper,” the “Chicago Piano,” the “Chicago Typewriter,” and the “Chopper.” The Thompson was favored by soldiers, criminals and police alike for its ergonomics, compactness, large .45 ACP cartridge, and high volume of automatic fire and among civilian collectors for its historical significance. The Thompson Submachine Gun was developed by General John T. Thompson who originally envisioned an auto rifle (semi-automatic rifle) to replace the bolt action service rifles then in use. While searching for a way to allow such a weapon to operate safely without the complexity of a recoil or gas operated mechanism, Thompson came across a patent issued to John Bell Blish in 1915 based on adhesion of inclined metal surfaces under pressure.
